New toy

One of my first photos with my new Nikon D60. Miss H on her 16th birthday opening her gifts. I have a lot of reading to do the manual is very large. I am going to have so much fun playing with it this weekend! So far I am super happy with it. It is so much nicer then my little point and shoot!

I love being able to step out of my back door, and after walking for about 4 minutes be able to see this.

My little Arial

I love my little Arial! Her full name is Hillcrest's Blue Aria, I think it suits her. A pretty name for a pretty pony. If she were only taller I would ride her myself!

The Beating of Little Tiny Wings

I have a few more photos to share from my covert garden steak out this afternoon.

I could have hung out there all day in the shade of the bushes.

What a wonderful way to spend some quiet time.

Flitting

I have been enjoying the plethora of flowers and butterflies around Spruce Hill.

They are very shy and do not like the camera. Once and a while I do get a good shot or two.

They are so interesting up close using my macro setting, I love watching them drink from all of my flowers!

I am addicted to my macro setting

 

It lets me take pictures of things we don't normally notice. I like that!

  

These are just regular old geraniums that I have in pots on my front porch. I just love how fuzzy they are!

    

I chose my camera specifically because of it's macro setting was supposed to be great for a little point and shoot auto camera. I really love the bokeh I get from it too. It makes me happy!
