I have been enjoying the plethora of flowers and butterflies around Spruce Hill.

They are very shy and do not like the camera. Once and a while I do get a good shot or two.

They are so interesting up close using my macro setting, I love watching them drink from all of my flowers!

It is pure neglect!

I have not posted over here in a really long time. I admit it is pure neglect. Since it has gotten warm I have been spending more of my day outside in the garden and not on my computer.

Yesterday I took some really lovely pictures while I was weeding, yes I had my camera in my pocket. You never know when you might need it right?

 

Did you catch the fly sitting there on the stem of the flower?

 

My Iris are just starting to bloom. I had one open fully yesterday. I am posting the picture over on my other blog later today. I am excited because it is,well I like it. These look purple but when they open they are a beautiful shade of dark wine.

  

My lilac bush is blooming too, My favorite part of May absolutely hands down.

Since there is so much happening here at Spruce Hill in the garden I am going to be posting here more often. I have my photos backing up and I am starting to forget about them.
