It's been a long hot summer but the animals have been real troopers, Cocoa is always waiting at the fence for a scratch.
The ponies have been terrorized by the flies and the heat. But they are always so happy to see us.
I'm thinking the goats like the heat better than snow. I might need to get them goat coats this year!
We have set up a few bird feeders outside our back door and have been doing some bird watching.
The birds are franticly hungry with all this snow.
I have the bird book out and am jotting down what we see.
The cardinals are my favorite but they are very shy. Sadie has been watching them like a hawk! So far we have about18 inches on top of the 24 inches we got last weekend. I have to say I have seen enough snow to last me a lifetime.
It's busy around here and I haven't picked up my camera since I met Pioneer Woman on Sunday. I woke up with a cold on Monday morning and had therapy and my four month oncology check up, which I passed with flying colors. Yesterday I managed to wrap most of my gifts between coughing fits. Today I am just catching up with my loose ends.

I love my little Arial! Her full name is Hillcrest's Blue Aria, I think it suits her. A pretty name for a pretty pony. If she were only taller I would ride her myself!
