The air is heavy with the scent of honeysuckle

As I walk out the front door I can smell the heavy scent of honeysuckle in the air, and I feel as though summer is almost here.

I have been absent here lately. I hope with the coming months that I will be here more often.

we were out last evening and I could smell the honeysuckle too. It takes me back to my favorite summer memories, spending entire summers with my grandparents, who had these deliciously smelling (and tasty!) treats abound. It makes me hope that my kids are creating the same sort of good times that will make wonderful memories when they are my age. and that something as simple as a scent will take them back.
