Christmas Card Traditions

 
I am loving this picture I took of Little E over the Thanksgiving weekend. I did my annual Christmas card photo shoot. This did not make the card but I really love it.

We have done a picture card every year since Miss H was born. I love doing them and Love looking back on the girls as they grow up.

This is a shot from two years ago. One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is checking the mailbox for card each day. I always like to see who sends our first card.

Christmas/Holiday Gift Idea: Texting and Photography Friendly Gloves

While out trying to Christmas shop for my family and friends, I found these great techy friendly knit gloves. I saw another different design on Pioneer Woman's blog that were a bit pricey and set out to find a more affordable version. I found these gloves at Target for $10.99. They are so cute.

 
They come in an asortment of cute colors and allow you to have your thumb and forefinger accessible for those of use who are addicted to hand held divices-texting, twittering and facebooking on our phones and ipods. They also allow us die hard photographers to keep our little fingers warm while outside snapping pictures in the cold winter temperatures.

Thankful

Whew I have had a busy few days full of cooking and cleaning! Everyone has arrived and the house is bursting with Family. We are planning a nice big family dinner for this evening. I have prepared a lot of dishes ahead so I can enjoy the day. It's very quiet sitting here in the kitchen with my cup of coffee. Everyone is still snuggled into their beds. But soon the house will be bustling with activity. I love this time of day.

 
Thanksgiving really has changed for me since my breast cancer diagnosis. I have so much to be thankful for. Thankful to be healthy and alive. Thankful for my girls and my wonderful husband. For the love we have for each other and our children. Our home and little farm. For our siblings and families. We are so blessed.

This thanksgiving I am especially grateful that I am here. To see my girls enjoying their family. For the hugs and kisses I get everyday. For all of the breaths I take and for every moment that takes my breath away.

The weather this weekend has been ideal for photo taking. One of the things I like to do the most is just to head out to the paddock and hang out with the animals. They always make me happy.

It's always interesting walking out to the animals with a pocket full of treats.
