A walk I will never forget

Little E is home from school today, they are giving the flu mist and she can not be exposed to it because of me being on chemo. We set out this morning to do a bit of homeschooling and then do a craft project.

 
We were sitting on the back steps waiting for birds to come to the new feeder and as I looked up I saw a Bald Eagle. I couldn't believe my eyes. I've seen them here before but never with camera in hand. I took a few blurry photos and then decided we needed to walk down to the creek and see if we could see another.

 
It's a quick 5 minute walk from the house. I love going there it's so quiet and it's always changing. As we walked down the cliff we saw two eagles flying away. We quietly sat down on a large rock and waited.

 
They came back around in a couple of minutes. It was amazing.

 
 
 
I was lucky to have my telephoto lense on my camera. Little E and I sat there for a long time smiling and laughing, soaking in the moment. It was awesome!

 

 

Yearning

I am missing my garden, my flowers and the warm sun on my face.

At least today I can pretend a bit. Then tonight more snow, *sigh* 

Furry Friday

It's always interesting walking out to the animals with a pocket full of treats.

Hey look it's Mama and she seems to have something in her pockets!

Hey Yo whas up? It helps if you don't look too eager, so relaxing helps.

I knew it she does have treats guys!

Not disappointed

I was a little worried when I got my new camera that I would not be able to get good macro shots from it. I have heard a lot of people say that about their Nikon SLR cameras.

 

 
 
  
 So far I have not been too disappointed.  

Thankful

The weather outside is rainy, dreary and cold. I need some brightness in my day.

 
I found so much color outside in the last few days of sunshine. Fall is in full swing and the trees are blazing with color.

   


 
The girls are finally all back at school after a week of H1N1. They did not have really bad cases, thank goodness. Little E had it the worst, she bounced back well though. I am thankful for my healthy kids today,
