Finally Some Blooming

I finally have some flowers blooming outside in my garden, ive been waiting and waiting.

I've been feeling pretty good. Oh so tired all the time. Last Wednesday I pulled a muscle in my chest while coughing, and I spent two days in bed and on pain meds. I feel so much better now! I'm trying not to move around too much or cough which impossible. Other then that i'm doing fine. It's my week off chemo so I can actually get some things done and cook.

We're getting ready to go on a trip. I can't say where but if you follow me on twitter or facebook you will find out. I am not sure I will be posting there but will be tweeting and sharing pictures. The girls are excited about flying for the first time.

The Dogs are going to camp, a certain Boyo can not handle staying home with a dog sitter. He gets a little destructive. So he gets to go to the clinic. I'll miss them.I'm sure they'll have fun.

 

 

 

Warmer weather makes for good walks

The weather has been a bit warmer this week and I have been able to get up off the couch and take some walks. it feels so good to get up and move around.

I found some daffodils popping up from the ground. I also noticed that we lost a lot of trees in the heavy snow this year. The tops just broken off from the weight of the snow.

The animals were happy to see me, I forgot my peppermints though. Tempest tried to bite me. Grumpy girl. The goats and Arial were nice though.

Arial came closer just to check my pockets, and to snuggle a bit. She gives good snuggles.

And she has the fuzziest cutest nose on Spruce Hill, Sorry Finny!

I'm off to chemo this morning. It's going well and i am feeling good. Gonna go kick some cancer butt.

A Milestone

 
I hit a milestone today, it's my 45th birthday. I wasn't sure a year ago I would make it to be 45. Today I am happy to be a year older. Happy that I can celebrate with my family. kiss my girls and get lots of hugs, and hold ands with my Hubs. I am fortunate enough to not have chemo this weekend. This week we were able to go out to dinner and I really enjoyed it.

 
I plan on eating lots of chocolate, drinking a bit of wine and relaxing this weekend. I am enjoying all the birthday wishes I'm getting from facebook.it's like opening little gifts all day.

Heavy Snow On Spruce Hill

Last night we had over twelve inches of snow. It's a very wet heavy snow. Hubs went out early and took some pictures for me. I got out later and got some shots as well. His have more blue sky in them. It is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful outside. (the first 4 photos are curtisy of Hubs)

The dogs don't quite know what to do. This is Finny's first deep snow. At the moment he is sleeping away on the couch.

 
I promised Little E last night I would go out with her and sled. I think I made her the happiest kid on earth. My butt weighed the sled down a bit, so it was not a fast run.

 
 
I don't think we will have school again tomorrow the roads are a mess. I am looking forward to snuggling up on the couch this afternoon with my book and a nice big cup of hot chocolate.

 

Winter Morning

 

On Wednesday morning we woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow. About 5 inches or so. It was such a pretty snow, the flakes were so big and fluffy and sparkled in the sunlight. I just had to get out with my camera.

 
 
 
 
It took my breath away. Where ever I turned I saw beauty.

 

The flakes were so visible.

 
It was so quiet and bright and clear. I really needed to get out and get some fresh air. To be by myself and enjoy the solitude.

 
It did the trick. I had some company on my walk but I will do a separate post for that.

 
 Today I just want to enjoy the quiet.
