Just checking in really quickly to update everyone. We had a wonderful Christmas. I really enjoyed hanging out with my family. We had a really great day and I was so happy to just be here to celebrate it. With an impending snow storm coming from the south our cousins from NC decided to come up a day early, which made everyone happy. They got here in the evening on Christmas day. The girls have been burning up the Wii Glee karaoke nation is the bomb. Now we aren't the only people on the planet without one, thank God. I have been lost in playing around on my ipad, man what did I ever do without that? I've been playing words with friends with some of my tweeps and learning slowly but surly how to do things. I also got a Nook color reader and have been reading a bit and really love it. I finally stepped into the modern age and have a smart phone. I've been busy filling up on apps and fighting those angry birds. Both the ipad and phone where so nice to have at chemo this week. It made the time go a lot faster.
(Pardon the no makeup face here!)
After getting my hair cut really short on The Wednesday before Christmas my hair continued to fall out after my chemo on Thursday. The day after Christmas I decided it was time and I shave it all off. It came out so easily I barely had to even touch it with my razor. So I'm bald again. I never thought I would be here again. I even gave away all my scarves a year or so ago. Everyone came through and I have lots of new scarves and hats and got my old ones back. I am all stocked up. It's a bit colder being bald in the winter, wooo! So no more flying under the radar, now I look like I have cancer. We went shopping at the mall the day after I shaved my head and I got stares and smiles, people being nice to me just because I have a scarf on my head. That is something I never get used to. I tied my wig on the other day and I still hate it. It's itchy and ugly and I just hate it. If I do get a new wig I am going long and bright!
Hope everyone had a happy holiday and a safe and happy new year.
