Last night we had over twelve inches of snow. It's a very wet heavy snow. Hubs went out early and took some pictures for me. I got out later and got some shots as well. His have more blue sky in them. It is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful outside. (the first 4 photos are curtisy of Hubs)
Some of our pine trees are lying down on their sides.
The dogs don't quite know what to do. This is Finny's first deep snow. At the moment he is sleeping away on the couch.
I promised Little E last night I would go out with her and sled. I think I made her the happiest kid on earth. My butt weighed the sled down a bit, so it was not a fast run.
I don't think we will have school again tomorrow the roads are a mess. I am looking forward to snuggling up on the couch this afternoon with my book and a nice big cup of hot chocolate.
Beautiful pictures! I haven't been out in our snow at all today. Katie baked cupcakes, I've been doing laundry and we're still catching up on the 2nd season of Castle. :)
Glad you're having a great day!

I can't even imagine waking up to that winter wonderland! Absolutely gorgeous! And the pups look like they are having just too much fun...I'm sure my dog would love the snow...if she ever saw it here in CA lol

It's just after 3 as I write this and I'm settled on the couch with the laptop and am watching Ellen. It looks like we had the same amount here. NYC was dumped on, as were my friends in CT who have over 4 feet. Jeez!
But it sure is beautiful.

O little E - you look so huggable in your blue coat and yellow hat. And your smile! I think I know who you inherited that from!

Second photo totally took my breath away.
Yes, kind of confusing for pups when the snow is THAT deep. We had a snowfall like that a year ago and our dogs just looked at it like WHOA!! WHA is this? You expect me to jump up there to go pee pee?

The snow pictures are so lovely, but look so very cold. Bracing ourselves here in Illinois for the 26" they're calling for in the next 24 hours.
As long as the electric holds out, all should be good.
Lovely blog!
