Today Sadie turns five years old. She and all her litter mates were a big surprise. When my cousin came home from his honeymoon his dog Bell had a littler of puppies that no one knew were coming. The first time we went to see them I knew that Sadie was meant to be ours. Her two favorite things are her soccer ball and my Hubs. She would follow him anywhere. Every morning when he leaves for work she herds his car and sits at the top of the lane and waits for him to come back.
Sadie is afraid of our goats and horses. When she was a puppy she touched her nose to the electric fence at the same time as she touched noses with one of our lambs and got a big shock. In her mind I think that she believes that the lamb shocked her. We joke around that she thinks that the animals shoot lasers out of their eyes to shock her, because she refuses to even look at them. So instead of herding animals she herds the car and our gator. Border collies tend to be obsessive compulsive, and she is. Just not about chasing sheep!
Love her ball! Romy would be envious :)
Hope all y'all celebrate with a doggie bone shaped cake edible enough for your Sadie :)

Happy Birthday Sadie!! She is beautiful, I just love Border Collies, and would love to get one someday, but since we have Aussie's, my other half says he doesn't think he can live with a dog that has a tail again!! Silly, I know!
