I can count on one hand the number of days before Little E starts school. The older girls start a bit later this year so they have an extra week of vacation. Little E heads off to third grade this year, my baby in third grade! I'm not sure how that happened so fast.
We have been gathering our school supplies and buying books. Purchasing new uniforms for Miss E who is starting high school this year. We have also been making lots of trips to school for Miss E's cheer practices. They are really working hard to get all their cheers learned before football season.
Miss H is a senior this year, which is like totally impossible since I just graduated like yesterday. Ok well it's been longer then that but still. I still feel 18 inside! We are starting to look at schools for next year, thinking about her next step towards adulthood. It's a big decision to make for a 17 year old.
My niece and nephew are both off to college, the first grand children to leave home. So many changes to adjust to.
I'm looking forward to a more structured schedule but will feel the daily emptiness of the house down to my core.
These are beautiful!! Did you take all of these today? I wish I were this good. :)

Again, your pictures are so beautiful!
This year we're coping with the new schedule = no lunches together. We've spent K - 6 having lunches with our little one and now, *poof* no more!
At least you'll still have a little man to occupy your days what with keeping you on your toes whilst he tries to nibble up your shoes!
:)

Sarah it does seem to go by so quickly! My H is starting high school and G is going into 5th. I feel like they are going to be gone in the blink of an eye...

The start of school always feels more like a new year than actual New Year's to me. new supplies, new clothes, new teachers...
And you are all right: the days go by too fast, and our children are grown when we still feel like new parents, feeling our way through.

Life continues even when we don't want it to and it is so maddening....hang in there.

Hi! This is my first visit to your site. The pictures are lovely. My youngest is beginning her junior this year and I'm feeling sort of unneccesary. I've been a stay at home mom for 21 years! What now?

I'm not a big fan of change, but these are exciting! I hope you have an easy adjustment. Good luck with everything!
