It's My Sadie's Birthday!

Today the youngest member of our family turns 4!

She is the coolest dog I have ever had. She is loving but aloof. She has an obsessive compulsive personality. She is not happy unless she can be outside whether it is 100 degrees or 10 degrees outside.

Her favorite person in the whole wide world is my Hubby. It is only because he drives....

this which makes him her hero.

She is afraid of Sheep, horses, cows anything with hooves really, and she hates thunderstorms. When she was a puppy just about eight months old we got our sheep for the year. She stuck her nose through the electric fence to touch noses with a lamb and the fence shocked her. I think she thought the lamb did it with it's flame shooting eyes. She will not go anywhere near the fence to this day even though it is no longer electric. I think she has no future career in sheep herding, but she does run a good home made obstacle course!

There is only one thing she loves more then her gator driving Daddy, Playing ball.

A change

Our lazy days of summer are gone, the kids are back to school and our schedule has become hectic and rushed. Up at 6AM not stopping until after dinnertime. Lots of errands to do and places to be.

It reminds me of the butterflies out in my garden, full of activity. Getting ready for the change in season. I don't remember anytime when we have had so many kinds of butterflies on Spruce Hill. Maybe I just did't notice them.

The girls have settled down into their routine and I am actually relieved to have it. Miss H starts school tomorrow, her Junior year in high school. Today she got her driving permit, which totally blows my mind.  How my little girl could have grown up so fast? It seems just yesterday that she was holding onto my hand on her way to kindergarten.

Visiting Arial

Yesterday I got to visit Arial at the farm where she is staying. I have not been over to visit her in a while. I miss her a lot and thought it was better not to visit her too much.

As soon as I called her she whinnied and she came trotting over.

She got lots of scratches.

And some carrots from the garden. Then some more scratches.

 

I could look at her all day I just think she is the prettiest pony, But then again I am her Mama.

She just wants to jump in your pocket when she is with you.

She lives to be fussed over and loved and truly loves little girls. She had just gotten a bath right before we got there.

This is her friend Belle, she has to wear a muzzle because she eats too much. (I am glad I am not a pony! They would totally make me wear one!)

I left her happily munching on grass, with her friend. I do miss her but am glad she is getting ridden everyday and getting lots of baths.

Bubbles, I Heart Faces

Bubbles are a very popular thing to do at our house. We spend a lot of time outside hanging out on the porch and in the front yard. I love taking pictures of my daughter Little E blowing bubbles!

This is my first entry for I heart faces! I am excited to participate!
