After I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January of 08 Little E told me she wanted to grow her hair out for Locks Of Love. Now I just thought that was the sweetest thing. She saw me loose my hair and I think it was her way to do something for someone else going through the same thing. I think that is pretty great thinking for a 5 year old.
Yesterday was the day for her big hair cut. She has been so excited about it!
We had a little photo shoot before we left.
I think she was really enjoyed it, maybe a little too much.
When we got there she wanted to go first.
Our hair dresser put her hair in a pony tail and cut away.
She was so proud of herself and skipped around the salon and flipped her hair around while her sister got her hair cut.
When we got home we had another photo shoot.
I am really proud of my little girl! Her donation will make someone very happy and more comfortable with the way they look. What a wonderful gift to give!
Little E is amazing and so thoughtful! I swear she is so much more mature than a 5 year old. I love her short hair!

The short cut is cute... my granddaughter cut hers off this summer too. Makes it much more manageable.

That's so beautiful.
Right this very second my dearest friend is weeping that her long brown hair has fallen out due to chemo. It was to her waist.
I wish she could have little E's lovely hair.
You tell her from me she is a wonderful and dear little girl.

Oh, Sarah! Here hair is so absolutely gorgeous, her locks will definitely make someone happy! LM donated 10 inches of blondness about 5 years ago to Locks of Love, too! She even has a little certificate. That will make Little E beam when she gets that in the mail :) Way to go!!!

Oh, how darling she wanted to do that! Her hair was beautiful before, and just as beautiful (and very hip) after! I teach 4-5 yr. olds, this made me miss them! :( Oh wait, I start teaching summer school Monday! Guess I'll get my kid fix. Have a fun and safe 4th of July!
