Molly left me an award yesterday on her blog Dark Oak Woman.
Here are the rules that you agree to when you accept this award:
"When you receive the prize, you must write a post showing it, together with the name of who has given it to you, and link them back. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in their content or design. Show their names and links and leave them a comment informing that they were prized with 'Honest Weblog'. List [if you can and/or dare] at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!"
1. I love to read. Mostly historical fiction. Give me a book with a castle and set it in Britain and I will read it! I however do not like to read books people read in book clubs. I do not take to reading something I have to read. My favorite book (series)is Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I am currently reading the 5th book for the 2nd time.
2. I am a very romantic person, but not the flowers and candy kind. I guess I should say I have romantic ideals. I am old fashioned and believe in being polite and proper.
3.I usually have high expectations and am usually disappointed when my expectations are not met.
4. I was an art history major in college with an art studio minor. My favorite classes were ceramics, photography, and ancient art.
5. I mostly cook out of my head. I do use recipes for certain things, but my daily cooking comes right out of my noggin.
6. I think chocolate should be considered to be a food group. I eat it just about it everyday. I do not like anything to interfere with my chocolate like fruit or other flavors.
7. I am a very visual person. If I see something and how it is made I can probably make it myself. I learn visually and do not do well if I am told how to do something or read how to do something. I generally skip the directions and just do things from sight.
8. My favorite place to be is at home with my family. I am pretty much a home body. I do not get to travel much and have never been anywhere off the North American continent. (with the exception of Bermuda and St Thomas) I Have not been further west than Texas but have been to Canada.
9. I am a very shy person. I am not very good in social situations. It is very difficult for me to go up to a person and just start a conversation. Although once I get to know a person I am just the opposite.
10. I grew up on a 165 acre cattle farm with three brothers. I considerer myself to be pretty tough and am not a girly girl. I spent most of my childhood upside down in a tree and running around outside. This is were my love of animals comes from. I grew up around lots of cats and dogs and showed my own sheep and cattle in 4-H.
I could keep going here but that is my 10 things.

Great list! Have you read Nefertiti by Michelle Moran yet? I read and reviewed it on my book blog in June and LOVED it. It was really good historical fiction! Oh, by the way, I am going to be a contributor over at Mothers With Cancer and am really excited to do so!
