Wow what a night! It started out with a horrendous thunderstorm! Let me tell you that it was a bit scary being in a tin roofed barn in a hail storm. There were some tornado reports just a few miles away. I have not been really scared of anything since my cancer diagnoses and surgery. I did however have some scary thoughts last night sitting in a chair with little E on my lap in that barn wondering it we were all going to blow away.
The shade tarp between barns filled with hail.
Part of the tarp fell down, This is a picture of the hail up close.
After the storm had passed and things got back to normal the girls were able to sell their sheep. Here is Big E selling her lamb Barnabe. He weighed 118lbs and she got $2.40 a pound.
HES with Chadwick in the ring. She sold her 127lb lamb for $2.60 a pound.
We are glad that the fair is over and we are happy to get a little R&R today. I think we are a bit burned out and weary eyed. We get to pick all our ribbons up this evening. It will be nice to eat real food today!
Those are some big smiles - it looks as though all the hard work paid off. I hope that there will be some treats for the shepherdesses.

That storm was crazy!!!!!!! It was soo loud in the barn because of the type of roof and the hail was huge (and it tasted good).
