Catching Up

I'm more then half way through my radiation treatments. As of today I have 4 left out of 15. they are going well and i really have been dodging the side effects. No burns on my head or hair loss on the radiation sites. the only two things I am dealing with are not being able to taste everything, which I HATE, and the steroids making it really hard to sleep. I've been waking up every morning at 5:00 and not being able to get back to sleep.

We had a wonderful Easter, Hub's Sister was here and she got all kinds of things done. I now can see my laundry room floor and she cooked and organized everything I needed organizing. Let me tell you she is a life saver. She just jumps in and goes to it. It was so warm we spent a good part of the day outside and she planted all my out door porch flower containers, they look so pretty. It was a big help. The flowers were all donated by Little E's school, So they all are so special to us.

I am over whelmed by the love and support we are all receiving everyday from family, friends, and my on-line blog community. I am so blessed by all of the prayer and support our family has been given in the last few weeks and I am so thankful for all the help offered.

Back to the Ranch For Some Sunday Shootin

On our trip to the ranch the one thing I talked to Ree about was that I wanted to do something really nice for my Hubs. He does so much for us and takes good care of all of us girls, and he is my rock. I thought he deserved a break and some fun. I told her he likes to shoot and she said there was no problem with that, they could take good care of him in that department. So Sunday after church and before dinner we all went out back and did some shootin. Well we all went back but some of us watched and talked and giggled and other people did shooting.

there was an issue with a last man standing knock out round and a winner but I won't go there, it's already been discussed, and I know what really went down.

Everybody had a great time. including my Hubs which made me very Happy.

He was in he element and loves to be competitive, just a bit.

Everybody had fun and everyone laughed, even the kids had fun.

Mostly watching.

and talking, about technique. Because who doesn't have technique?

One must have the right golf swing as well on the ranch, it's a totally country club mentality, NOT!

I am just glad that the man I love got to have a day off from all of the things he has to do to keep up with all of us girls, He deserved it.

After all that shooting we all got hungry, and Ree made us all MM sandwiches and we sat and ate and talked and had some wine and had a great old time. Ree is the best and is so down to earth, kind, funny and easy to talk to. I am so glad we were given the chance to go out for a visit. I will not soon forget it.

A quick update

I have had my first two radiation treatments and am doing well. They are quick and take no time at all. I just want to thank everyone for your love, support, and prayers. You lift me up and help keep me going. Thank you! Sarah

Some things

A year ago when I was rediagnosed with breast cancer I was diagnosed with stage IV Metastatic breast cancer. which basically means my cancer had spread outside my chest area to other parts of my body. I kept this pretty private do to the girls and tried to make it as easy on them as possible only making some details known to them, to protect them in a way.

Lately my scans have been good I have had some set backs but I believed I was on the up swing. I had another round of scans last week and my scans reviled a shadow that my doctor wanted to check out a little closer. So I had a brain scan on Friday morning, by two oclock my doctor called me with the results. The cancer has spread to my brain in one spot on the right side in the back of my head. I also had questionable spots throuout my brain.

So this has been really hard to soak in. It's not an easy thing to process. Yes I have cancer, in my brain what will happen to me? So I start radiation to my head tomorrow, and they will treat me for two weeks everyday. Then we will work on the spot of cancer if it needs to be treated. they will stop my chemo until then, they don't like to mix the two together.

So that is what we are facing right now, it's hard and scary and I hate sharing it all with you, but you are all a big part of me and my recovery and my blog has pulled me through some really tough times. So I thought I could share this with all of you.
