One of the things I enjoy about Spruce Hill at this time of the year.

I love being able to step out of my back door, and after walking for about 4 minutes be able to see this.

I don't have the heart to tear down his perch!

He has an incredible view.

Flitting

I have been enjoying the plethora of flowers and butterflies around Spruce Hill.

They are very shy and do not like the camera. Once and a while I do get a good shot or two.

They are so interesting up close using my macro setting, I love watching them drink from all of my flowers!

Light snow is falling here on Spruce Hill.

   

 

 

 

It is so quiet outside. The only sounds I hear are of cows in the distance and children playing.

It's so warm! (for December)

 

It is unseasonably warm this week in Maryland.

   

Warm enough for long walks, and for the ponies to go without their blankets.

Ice

 

We had a bit of an ice storm last night.

 

Leaving things beautiful and sparkly.

 

 

 

Even the barnyard was pretty, despite the muddy ground.
