I have had a pretty good week this week and have spent my time with Finny outside, trying to keep him from having accidents in the house. He is keeping me on my toes and very busy. He is learning very fast. I have been trying to take a couple pictures everyday to focus on something positive in my day. Things are finally starting to pop around here.
Everything is turning green and it's been good for my soul.
It's settled down and I am feeling like myself and getting back into a regular routine, not needing naps during the day.
I keep getting told that I am "inspiring" or am so "courageous". I don't feel that way. I am doing what anyone else would do faced with the same situation. When a crisis hits your family or yourself, you can't just sit there and do nothing. You have to pick yourself up everyday and get on with it. So that is what I'm doing. It's not inspiring or courageous. It's just what I have to do.
Chemo tomorrow. My Doctor tells me it will be easier because I am only getting one drug instead of two. I am happy about that. I will be tweeting and on facebook from the infusion center to let everyone know how it's going.

Love the curly tendril pic!!! Awesome. Glad you're feeling more like yourself every day. Focusing on the positive is what it's all about! Smooches!

Sure, when it comes down to it, we all do what we have to do in order to survive. But that doesn't mean we can't still be duly impressed by how you choose to do it. You could curl up in a ball, throw your hands in the air, cry all day, pull the cover over your head and give up. But you don't ... you fight it with everything you have in you. And you put up a darn good fight, too, lady. You are inspiring. You are courageous. You really are.
Not that we'd ever let you not fight ... I mean, seriously, you don't want to get on Teri's bad side, she's mean!:)

Though humans are programmed to survive, it's still impressive when someone does so with grace.
And I love the photos.

Good luck tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you! Keep getting that fresh air (and sunshine when we've got it). I'm sure it's good for you AND Finny!
Love, Les

Beautiful pictures... They so remind me of Spring.
I will be praying for you.

I totally understand about not being courageous despite everyone telling you you are. I think being courageous entails the sense of fearlessness, no? And going through that, you do worry, in essence some fearing.
Good luck tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you and sending along some tweets when I'm not working :)

I love your positive energy! So glad we became friends. You are inspiring and your attitude is infectious.
Love Kay's comment. She's right. It's not as if we'd let you not fight but she's the mean one, not me!!! ;)

Came here from Pioneer Woman....haven't read much but like what I've seen so far :) Hope you had a good day today. I am the mother of a childhood cancer survivor so I know a little about what you said. People tell you you're brave, etc. and you feel like you're only doing what you have to do. But at the end of the day, you ARE brave; you've made it through another day/treatment/whatever, you're thankful for life as it is, and that's more than a lot of people do who DON'T have challenges. I wish you the very best and hope you tolerate your treatments well. Keep looking at the world like you do and you'll be fine.

"I suppose you think you're brave, don't you?"
"Only compared to some."
One of my favorite lines in The Princess Bride.
I love your squiggles. Love them!

Sarah,
I have appreciated the virtual tour throughout your farm and through your days' journey. Finny is so full of life, and you are, as well. I can tell from what you write and the way you express yourself. There are people out here like me who pray for people like you, fighters and courageous. Just know that and we do appreciate you as a person.
