After all the snow fell, the sun came out today.
We still had some snow removal to do.
It's unbelievable how much snow we got. I have not ventured out much. It's just so deep it's really difficult to get around.
School has been canceled for tomorrow and I have a hard time believing they will be back to school until at least Wednesday. In the mean time they are forecasting another 6-12 inches on Tuesday! I am not sure where we will put that much more snow!
So far with the help of our snow blower on wheels Hubby is victorious and has us all dug out. Even though we can't really go anywhere!
Sadie is a bit out of sorts. She is confused over the loss of Chloe her best friend and the deep snow. She is not sure what to do. She misses her sister and she is out of her regular routine, Which for a Border Collie is never a good thing. We have been trying to give her lots of extra ball time, and she seems to be doing well but we can all tell she is as sad as we over the loss of a beloved friend.

That. Is. Pretty. Wild! Lots of snow :) Glad it's not me at present. Guess our 18 feet from last year was our turn ...

I think you have a bit more snow than we do here. Love it! We're still not completely plowed out and school is closed for tomorrow. I did hike it down to the end of the driveway today and the roads looked good.
So sad for Sadie. And yes, the snow confuses things a little more because nothing looks the same as it's all buried.

So sorry about the loss of Chloe:( She was a beautiful lab. We are snowed in here in the Shenandoah Valley too, measured 26 inches yesterday, and are getting 2-4 inches more tomorrow. Kiddos have been out of school all last week, and most likely this week too. No spring break for us. Sigh, southerners don't handle snow like the northerners can:)

When my Eddie lost his Chicki, several years ago, he was so depressed. One afternoon, when we left him home alone, he ate his tennis ball. What followed was a very sick dog, emergency surgery, and us being his nurses for a while. He made it, and I was so grateful.
Don't ever underestimate how dogs grieve. They do.
She is beautiful, by the way.

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience and danger to some of the snow...but envy your beautiful world!

Woohoo! and there's more coming ... Can you send your hubby over with the snow blower and the tractor and some milk and bread?
Stay safe!

All that work and nowhere to go.
I love that "I'm king of the hill" shot.
That is a lot of snow!!

That sure is some beautiful snow! Plenty of it too!
I really enjoy your blog. Very nice. Sorry to hear of Sadie's loss. Animals do grieve, there's no doubt in my mind. It's sad to watch knowing there is nothing that can be said to mend their hearts. My way of dealing with it is usually to get another animal, be it cat or dog. It will usually give them a new sense of excitement in their life. My husband isn't always thrilled with my methods though. ; )

That is just insane! I've heard they are calling it the Snopocolypse 2010 or something? Snomageddan? :) If you could send some my way, I'd love it! I got my Nikon last year in April and have been dying to take pictures with it in the snow. One problem- NO snow this year! I hope that doesn't mean we have a rainy summer.....
Hope Sadie is feeling better soon. I imagine it will take some time for her to get over the loss of her good buddy.
