It's been two years since I heard the words "you have breast cancer" Those four words changed my life forever. Cancer puts your life into a tail spin, with so many thoughts spinning around in your head. It is unbelievable to me what I went through, and how I got through it all. I would have never thought I would be strong enough to handle a cancer diagnosis let alone make it through treatment. Surgeries, chemo therapy, hair loss, and lymphedema. It's not a pretty thing. But I did it, I look back now and wonder how I did it.
This blog of mine has been a big part of my life since my diagnosis. I started it just shy of a month after I was diagnosed. It has been an important part of my recovery for me. It has made it possible to meet other survivors from all over the US and other far away places.
I have received so much support from all of my blog readers in that time and I thank each and every one of you for it. It is always a comfort to know there are so many people out there routing for me. It has really made a difference in my fight and recovery.
No one knows what lies in their future. We never know what is ahead for us and how we will handle the challenges in our lives. I am not happy about having cancer but, I am very proud to be called a cancer survivor.

Happy Anniversary!!! May you have a great anniversary celebration.

Yay for 2 years! I am a 2 time survivor of cancer, Uterine and Thyroid. I am coming up on my 4 year anniversary in February for Thyroid cancer... I couldn't believe it when pathology came back with cancer! But I am a survivor and God gives me the grace each day to live as fully as I can.
God Bless You in your continued fight!

I have a friend, another deputy, who has breast cancer....was diagnosed last January. I started her blogging and it has been so good for her and all of us. She shares her news, good or bad, and we feel better knowing how she'd doing without bugging her with duplicate questions!
Good for you...you don't how many people consider you their hero.

You are amazing! Congrats on the two years. I think we never really know what we will do in this situation. You just DO, and get through it. What else can you do? You can't throw in the towel and give up.
I recently had a young friend (under 35) diagnosed with breast cancer. I was in shock. She is undergoing chemo right now. She has a huge smile on her face every time I see her picture on Facebook. Even after she cut all of her hair off. I don't know how she is staying so strong, but she is an inspiring person and has an amazing family and friends.
