I know I know I have been posting a LOT of pictures lately, but bare with me please! I have been feeling rather nonverbal lately. I am not sure why but I am just going with it here.
Yesterday I was sitting on my front porch. I do a lot of this nonstressfull activity. Usually when healthy I sit out there with a glass of wine. Since I have not been able to do that much lately I do it with my camera instead. So I was sitting there and a Mama hummingbird came up and nearly accosted me. Little E had on a bright colored shirt and I guess because she is so cute and all the mama wanted to get a better look at her. She got so close that Little E flinched and covered her face. So I ran walked as fast as I could and got my camera. These pictures are what I took in about 3 minuets time.
She looked at me several times while I sat there. The Papa would not come near the feeder while I sat there. I guess he was a bit more shy than his mate. I think there are some babies somewhere near by.
Love the hummer. Great pictures and keep on taking them. LALA

OH! It's so pretty. I can't believe you were able to click away for about 3 minutes.
I remember when I was younger - maybe 12 - I had a hummingbird approach me, too. It was so beautiful & colorful.
P.S. You can be quiet if you like!! Pictures are great fillers, too :)

What an amazing and exotic sight. I had no idea that hummingbirds could be so fearless. I had always imagined that they would fly away from humans as wrens do here.
