That is so lovely! I'm glad that she was able to make the donation! She'll get her little certificate soon enough :D

In 2004, Little Miss chopped her hair for Locks of Love, too! She has long blond hair that is just so pretty. It is such a wonderful and selfless act when people do something so simple like that!

In 2006, I did the same - but I forgot to mail the hair! Before my diagnosis in 2005, I'd told everyone I was growing my hair out for L. of L. Greatful that I didn't lose my hair, I kept it growing. Then one day, between hubby and my mum telling me that I would look better if my hair was "shaped" instead of long, curly and frazzled looking - I did it. In the bathroom. On my own.

I made two long braids and chopped. Later, it was 13 inches braided that I chopped. I mismeasured and cut more than I realized! I needed a hair dresser ASAP. And she made my uneven cut worse! She cut it so short all around that it was most unflattering to my face.

I'd put the braids in a baggie in the kitchen drawer ready for the mailing, but forgot about it. A year later, we moved, and they are sitting in a box at this moment. 13 inches of curly braids.

I seriously need to find that box!

That sweet bob shows off her lovely smile! Her hair will soon grow again but the gift of confidence to another child will always be remembered.
